but what what housings do the l1 and t1 wires and the l1 and l2 go on?

If you're looking at it from the side the spark plugs are on. I think if you get a light down there it's written on the housing.

yuppers. To firther simplify it:

Leading 1 = Lower 1st rotor (front rotor)
Leading 2= Lower 2nd rotor

Trailing 1= Top 1st rotor
Trailing 2= Top 2nd rotor

so remember the rule of thumb: L is for lower, T is for TOP, 1 is from front, 2 is for rear.
