I have a 87 rx-7 and its in great condition and i want to get a turbo upgrade since mine is a non-turbo but nobody want to touch a rotary engine except the mazda dealership but they wont do turbo conversions..only non-turbo!!! What should i do?
Do it yourself. That's one of those things you can't have somebody do. There is a lot involved. If you aren't up to do it then You shouldn't. You need to do your homework on the conversion. AaronCake Has this done and has a good write-up if I'm not mistaken. If you aren't mechanically inclined then you should sell the N/A car and purchase a T II. Remember, the faster a car is the less reliable it is.

i am all for doing it yourself. i bought a rebuilt motor for my 91' rx-7 and pulled the old one out and put the new one in all solo. the hanes manual and this site helped a bunch. definately do your homework and ask questions. i find that the experienced guys here will answer any questions no matter how stupid it may be. i cannot imagine how much i saved doing it myself. now it drives perfectly after sitting almost two years. the same with my honda crx after an engine swap. did all myself. go for it!
