i dont know what to do about my air pump now that i have dual pulley

i got a dual atl. pulley (not installed yet) but i read this in another forum

"Be aware that if you have a 89+ NA, the airpump also actuates the 5th and 6th port valves, as well as the VDI so you will have to figure out how to make them work."

i have a 89 GTUs so this got me thinking how would i fix this problem..how will i get the air pump to start working? pls help
