I completely took out sunroof!! How to weld one in ???
89GXL...no sunroof or soport. My ? is how can I put a lexan one in without it leaking...
? 2 is how can I weld a metal plate in? DO I need the stock hatch to weld in place? Because it is slightly smaller without that rubber piece. Thnx

If you are thinking of welding over/in the roof, then your best bet is too chop the roof panel off of a earlier non-sunroof model and weld that in, rather than rtying to weld in a panel that was designed to be in the car.
I am sure there must be a ton of non-sunroof 86-88 RX-7s in the junk yards down in San Diego. Just go down and ask for the roof section. It would also be much smoother and easier to install than welding in a moving roof.
