I cant pull out my spark plugs!!!

Anybody have an good methods of taking out the spark plugs!? I have already tried by putting rubber around the plug and trying to turn it with a wrench but that didnt work... they are in there pretty good, anybody have any ideas?

I hate to ask, but did you try a 13/16 spark plug socket?

Some times you can actually turn the spark plug sharply to the direction in which it tightens and then reverse. The other thing you can do is warm up the car.

I thought i could do it w/o one at first cuz i had a piece of rubber to put around it... I did try a spark plug socket after i made the post but still no luck... they are in there really tight... dont really know when they were changed last, i just bought the car so i'm trying to do a compression test

well the thing is you should have done a compression check before buying it. Well anyways try a spark plug socket and use a pipe for some leverage. I had to do this when changing my spark plugs the first time. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL! you do not want to break the spark plug off. Just be patient about it and use slow steady pressure. It is alot easier to fit a pipe in an NA than a tII.

Are you sure youre turning the spark plugs the right way? I've seen people complain about bolts being super hard and all along theyve been turning the wrong way.

Try warming up the car before trying to remove them.

I agree with everyone.. be VERY CAREFUL.. if you break one out it pretty much means a rebuild..

Warming up the car can help but it will be hella hot so don't burn yourself.. heh

Also when you put them in.. make sure to use anti-seize!

Well after about an hour and a half or so, and a few little burns i was able to finally get both plugs out and check the compression... 115 for both front and rear, and the apex seals are fine! Thanks for the help guys!

Do yourself a favor and do a full tune up (spark plugs, wires, oil, belts and all other vital fluids. Piece of mind is priceless.

Awesome.. serious man I was worried about you! That is one of my worst fears.. hope you put some anti-sieze on there!

Oh and great compression numbers!!!

I agree with eatricers.. when I got my car it got new everything.. diff oil, gear oil, motor oil.. coolant! Coolant is huge in our cars becuase half the engine is aluminum.. make sure you are using prestone with a 50/50 mix of distilled water!

Also might not hurt to use some Redline or Techron FI cleaner and make sure you run above 4K RPMs so that your secondary injectors kick in.. See our cars are not ment to be babied and if you don't "open them up" once in a while it's actualy bad for the car. I know my secondaries were hella crusty until I got them clean.

A redline a day keeps the mechanic away

Deep creep is an amazing product that penetrates....I had this same problem, spray, wait, spray, wait, spray, wait, and woola. It came out with a little bit of a tug but it came out and no breaking.

hello!! are you guys insane? they have liquid wrench and other similar products that your supposed to spray on those kinds of things like bolts/plugs/etc. before you even TOUCH it... spray.. wait.. tug a little, spray.. wait.. tug a little, spray.. wait.. tug a little and BAM comes out like BUTTER baby! please dont ever yank on a bolt in your engine bay again... get yourself a can of something similar to liquid wrench and you'll thank me later.
