Rx-7 Se?

There's an RX-7 SE for sale near me. I never even knew there was an SE model. It's an S4, 5 speed, cloth interior. Has the storage bins. It has alloy wheels, the ones with a bunch of round holes (bologna cutters?).

Is this the base model RX-7 as outlined in the models FAQ? I'm assuming it is.

I have an SE too...

I think it stands for "Sport Edition" and that it is just the base model.

Mine is 2 seater, with the storage bins, sunroof, regular windows and mirrors, a/c, power steering....

I never ever see SE though like on carpoint, I am still kind of confused about it myself

The 88 SE (the only year the SE was available in the USA) was the base model that year, and came with the phone dial rims, not the bologna cutters.

Read the "What came with what" sticky at the top of the section. It will list the 88 SE and what it came with. It was basicly the next model year or renamed 86-87 Luxury coupe.

If the owner is claiming it is a SE and it is a different year than 88, then the owner doesn't know what he or she has or it is an Canadian car.
