well it broke on the bottom half. i have read that it is used to anatomized the fuel, but i have also read that its possible to run with out them. the only part i broke was the bottom half that has the strainer on it. i still have the top half intact. so theoretically, i can still run without the strainer part right? due to the fact that the injector will still be sealed. and therefore i will have no injector leak. i have 3 out of 4 and i have read that they are expensive. thank you for taking your time to read my long question about a small piece of plastic.

 

It shouldnt make any difference - at least it doesnt on my 86 NA for one secondary injector...

 

The part is 20 some dollars at mazdatrix, it's worth it.

 

When I put a new engine into my 86 N/A I forgot to transfer them over to the new engine, and it wouldn't stay running below about 3k. So I pulled it apart after noticing they were still in the old engine, and put them into the new engine and everything was fine after that. Granted that was both primaries that I had forgot, so wheather one broken secondary ( in your intake manifold ) is going to matter......maybe ? And that's my $.02. If it were me I would get a replacement and fix it properly.
