Talking I bought a Mariah Mode 6

That's right boys. I bought the Mariah Mode 6 wing. Yeah, I know alot of you guys don't like it. Well, you guys have no taste. And those of you who do like it, have no ***** to buy it. okay, enough b.s. But honestly, I did order it. They had 2 options. they had a 4-5 inch risor, and then a 9 inch risor. And so my dad and I were lookin' on their website, trying to compare the 2 and see which one we liked. The 4-5 inch risor wing costs $478 retail. and the 9 inch risor wing costs like, $600 some, so that was also a factor, but we actually both decided that the 4-5 inch was a nice fit, since the 9 inch was sooo big. it leaned backwards so much, that it just didn't look right at all, but the 4-5 sits low, and looks like it's actually part of the car, and doesn't hang off too much. And so, my dad called them, pulled a little scheme where he told them we were a garage and we were getting it for a customer, and we got it at dealer price for $411 bucks. It's coming in next Thursday my dad says, but he's not sure if they meant NEXT WEEK, or this coming Thrusday. Hopefully, this coming. But I'll still need to get it painted, and I'm not sure if I wanna install it with my dad. WE did HIS wing, and it looks nice. I'm gonna scout around and see what the price would be for painting and installing it. oh yeah. and it's 50 dollars shipping. That's some ****! Oh well. It's worth it. After this, no mods for a while, this hit my account hard. But I said I'd do it. The first time I saw it, I told ya all I was gonna buy one. And I did. And yes I'm bragging. Alright, I'm ready for the flames... bring it on! :p

That wing is wicked. I don't care what anyone else says... it's a little odd looking on a stock RX-7, but with the entire Mariah kit, it looks absolutely KILLER! If I had the $$$$$$$$$$$ required, that's what my FC would look like, except in blue of course!

Berney is on this forum. He works for Mariah. Maybe you should wait untill after you get your kit before you post how you scamed the company to the whole internet. Just a thought.

All I can say is, I'm glad you like that wing ... and I hope you have some other body mods to go with it.

If I see a car with that wing, I'm gonna give it a ticket... Uncle Ben's Enforcement Division! Seriously, if you like it, that is all that matters.

the only way i really like that wing is with the full mode 6 kit, and even that is a bit too much for my tastes. too 944 meets mark III supra. but to each his own.

on an otherwise stock car, that wing is prolly gonna be a touch much. so long as u like it tho

yo Mike!

YEAH! if you would be so kind as to see how much you think it'd cost me to get it painted.. I'd REALLY appreciate it. I was gonna pm you tonight, but I see you already found out. And what do you think about installing it too? maybe not through your saturn place, but maybe you know someone. I'm trying to get all my options and see which is best.

Correction. Berny does not work for Mariah, but he has had lots of work done on his 13BT FB there, and most of us in the SoCal7 club have a very good relationship with Mariah. Sometimes he acts as a spokesman for them If I ever had a question about Mariah, I think Berny is the first person I would ask =)

I personally like that wing, but I only think it fits the Mode 6 kit. With that kit on a car the look is amazing. Honestly the pictures of all of their cars don't do them justice as most pictures of cars don't. The ones that they have at their shop are seamless! Truely good craftsmanship, but I don't want to cough up the cash to buy one of their Mode 6 kits.

Kanaida,
First off congratulations on your purchase. Having driven several of the Mariah MODE-6 conversions, I'm sure you'll be more than satisfied. This kit is a real head turner. Just make sure you get a high quality shop do the installation and paint on the body kit.

On the issue of me working for Mariah both Dave and Mike are correct. Although I am not an employee on payroll, I have done and will continue to do consulting for them on special projects. But more importantly, the guys at Mariah are good friends of mine.

It probably wasn't the best or smartest thing to publicize how you scammed a vendor publicly. Especially, if the transaction isn't complete. But, you really don't have to worry about me on this because, I rarely get involved in this type of client issue. But unfortunately for you, I do know that a full time Mariah employee does monitor the forum regularly and he might care. It might even be the guy you talked to on the phone. I'm sure they will be cool about it and still honor the price they gave you, though.

The worst kept secret on this forum is that several vendors monitor this forum regularly. Shoot, Dave from Mazdatrix posted on the 1st gen section the other day. So if you want to scam or you have scammed a rotary vendor, I wouldn't post the details here. You never know who might find out. You guys would be really surprised to know who reads the forum.

Again congrats on the brave purchase and please post pics here when your done, for all of us to see!

Berny

Hey glad to see you. Stop by more often and post what you're working on

Right now I'm trying to get some fresh air headlight scoops like this made (without the bodykit of course). Next will probably be a kit for moving the AC controls under the handrest.

I didn't even notice that this guy said he scammed them ... that's a pretty shitty thing to do. Especially to Mariah, which has been supporting the rotary community for so long. And your Dad teaches you **** like that???

And who the hell is this guy?

Talking The reason I don't put myself in my car's picture...

"Hurry up and take the picture before the owner gets back!!!"

or

"I love this spoiler; the extra inches make up for the shortage in my pants."

with a scratchy voice:"After a hard day's work, nothing pushes my fun buttons better than my Mariah Mode 6."

or

"This car's got two seats; one for me and one for the beer"

ok, I coulda came up with better ones but it's 4pm and my creativity level is at a low...

Bought the same wing 3 weeks ago for 387w/shipping. I don't think you did a very good job scamming them, as they knew I did not own a shop.
