i bent my latteral link
well it's bent and the car is unstable......my question is: can I go get a used one or will the ball joint be damaged when I remove it from the donor car? Am I better off trying to get a new one? I'll check mazdatrix soon.

A used one would be fine. I take mine on and off all the time.
Just make sure that whoever removes it does not hammer directly on the threaded portion or the threads will bend. Use a ball joint seperator or patialy thread the nut and lightly hammer on that.
