I took the OMP off of my car and before I did this I had just bought new lines from mazdatrix so I wasted $100 dollars, and I hate that K2D site or what ever it is I just saved the $20 dollars and made my own block off plate with a pair of air shears adn a grinder. And I used the plate to make a gasket out of a piece of a Dr. Pepper box. I think the whole issue of putting 2-stroke oil in the gas is funny to. My car is officaly a 3 stroke or somthing in between 2 and 4 stroke.

A question about removing the OMP. It was stated it will put the car in limp mode (on S5 cars). I may be dreaming, but I thought I remember somone making some little device that plugged into the harness in it's place that would fool the stock ecu into thinking it was still there...

any ideas?

Seems like this would be a simple solution to running the stock ecu with the ability to remove the OMP. Can't be that hard to make for those that are 'electrically inclined' even if one wasn't available.

Ok guys I have already made the block off for the OMP. I have also fashined some bolts for the two injectors on the intake. I however, can not remove the ones on the engine block. I already wasted one cutting wheel trying to cut the top of one off to make it possible to use a ratchet but no dice.Would it be ok if i used some silicone sealant on the little niple for the injector line? I also have JB weld but I am hesitant to use it. I am going to cap off the vacume nipples but I don't know if i should cap the injector nipple or put some silicone on it. I am using the Permatex Ultra Black stuff. I also used the Ultra Black on the Black off plate do you all know if that will hold up?

Pre-mix in a street car is a dumb idea. I use the OMP in my race car... ITA, ITS, ITE and E-Prod guys run an OMP and fellow autocrossers use the OMP too.

So I guess the pre-mix thing is for poseurs trying to act cool at the gas pump. I have too many other things on my mind, like tire pressures, suspension setups, alignment, shifting, braking and most importantly, women. Adding one more thing to worry about is a bad idea. So when your **** breaks becaus you forgot to add 2-stoke, you'll go back to the OMP.

Have fun with the downgrade!

I guess you won't regal us with which rules restrict the use of eliminating the OMP...

Sounds like somebody is jealous.&nbsp I guess it doesn't count that all WalMart/KMart/big chain auto parts stores carry some type of pre-mix.&nbsp I guess you won't be able to chnage your oil or find an oil filter too - oh my god!

Have fun with the downgrade!
Gimme some of that crack you're smoking!

Yeah, no ****, i went no OMP when i cracked one of those ******* cheap plastic lines. Plus, i DONT like the idea of using dirty crank oil (i dont care how many time syou change your oil.. its dirty) to spray in the combustion chamber to lube it up. Good 2-stroke oil in the gas is no hassle to me, put gas in, put oil on. OH MY GOD A WHOLE 15SECONDS MORE AT THE GAS PUMP.. THE HASSLE OOOHHHH TTTHHHEEE HHUUMMAANNIITTYYY!!!!

that is what i thought. but i would put in the two stroke first no. That way when i put the gas in it mixes up with the oil better. I am using some stuff that was only like 2 bux for 16oz not bad for a weeks supply.

Okay, this is the stupidest ******* thing I've seen all week:

They're not talking about premixing gas for chainsaws.

I run premix and it is not a PITA at all. I just keep to some simple rules and everything's Good. If you've learned to wipe and flush, you can teach yourself to premix for your 7. My rules:

- don't fill up until after the low fuel light has come on.
- pour the premix in first - the 50+ litres of gas sloshing in after it will take care of the mixing for you.
- always have at least 2 bottles of premix in the 7 at all times.
- if you do have to fill up earlier than planned, calculate how much premix to add and try to err on the side of 'too much.' At the worst your exhaust will smoke. It won't harm your engine.

That's it.

Didn't see any replies to this, so I'm assuming I am imagining things?
