i am putting money on this race...

First of all, there are a lot of people at my school that **** me off.

sometimes i dont like how my FC looks faster than it is. So far my mods are only weight removal. Next friday though my racing beat headers, presilencer, 2.5" single exhaust is being installed.

there is a stupid kid at my school. he has a 95 camaro V6 bone stock and he always says my RX-7 is a piece of crap. i hate trying to explain the rotary engine to so many ignorant people. Especially him because i explained to him about it being 1.3 but its actually more like a 2.6 Anyway then he kept on going about his is a 3.4 liter and it would beat my car. he is an idiot for thinking that having more liters means you are going to win.

anyway everyday he says lets race and that he will smoke me. he always says that he already beat an eclipse so he would beat my car.

here is what i said:

SO WHAT. I beat an eclipse w/ mods last week easily. I did not buy my car to drag race, but you know what i will race your weak *** V6. your car weighs almost 2 tons and your v6 is small....so you can shut the f**k up. I will prove that your piece of **** bow tie sucks.

I even put 50 dollars on the race. he is really pissing me off.

with weight removal and headers w/ 2.5" exhaust, just how easily will i beat him??

and oh ya.....HIS CAR IS AN AUTOMATIC!!!!!!!!

HAHAHA I KNOW I AM GOING TO KILL HIM.....BUT I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHOW HOW STUPID SOME PEOPLE ARE.

you will beat him period. Especially after you get your header, silencer and exhaust. I hope your vdi thing works properly. There was a guy around here who said the same thing about my car. I found him on the street (he has a v6 camaro 5spd, dont know what else) from like a 20mph rolling start we went at it. I was pulling away slowly till a car got in my lane and I had to slow down. According to him he killed me. My friend saw us as we passed by my house flying. So he knows the score. I have rb headers, silencer, hks exhaust, intake, lightened flywheel. My clutch was slipping at the time too. :p You shouldnt have any problems with that kid unless he gets some laughing gas.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Well I have a 95 camaro 3.4L 5 speed and you will beat one stock for sure. With it being an auto & you getting mods you should take say 5 or more lengths I would think.

Youre going to pull pretty good on him. When my car was COMPLETELY stock, even stock air filter, I raced a V6 firebird(98), which has 200 hp as opposed to the pathetic 150 hp mustang. His nise would be at my rear wheel if I got a good launch, his nose at my front wheel if I didnt. * times in a row, same results EVERY time. I got pulled over for that too, not a smart thing to do when youre 16.

Practice your lauches, abuse your clutch, its all about the first bit, where your traction limited, in almost all cases, the guy that can put the power down the best will win. I've seen many a higher horsepower car go down, because they couldn't put the power down (ie, your average mustange or camaro driver).

I'd say put more money than 50 bucks down so you can by more stuff for your car afterwards.

From the obvious things, you should win, but.... About that Eclipse thing.

I was racing a heavily modded 16 valve, turbo, AWD eclipe in my vette. It was at the track the day before IHRA came to town. He had a 12 sec. club sticker on the window. I laughed to myself thinking he was toast. Then to my surprise, he ran a 12.3!!! Just for comparison, last time I took my car to the track it ran a 13.42 sec. and 1.87 60' time. I'm pretty sure he had nitrous too.

The other car that I thought I would KILL was a Interga Type-R with some Japanese spec turbo motor and nitrous. Oh well... you can't win them all, especially in a mostly stock '85 vette.

Both of these cars even beat me off the line, which is pretty impressive b/c my car has much torque, but not much hp.

I'm just saying that unless that Eclipse was n/a, there might be some nitrous in that Camaro. I would stick to the $50 bet just to be safe.

Do your homework on his car just to make sure he doesnt have any crazy modifications. Hire a girl to hit on him and drool all over his car. Tell her to ask him stuff about his car (ie. what mods). Just make sure the girl isnt retarded and she knows what an N20 bottle looks like. Do this if you really want to bet more money on the race.

You'll smoke him no problem.

Just curious: How much weight have you removed?

Don't bother getting mad at stupid people. They don't care to understand, so why waste your time with them. Everyone thinks their car is faster than it really is. I had a guy telling me about his high 13s '88 trans am GTA. Turns about he's just really dumb because his car would do a mid 15. (checked after the fact) I hardly mentioned the TII because I knew he wasn't going to hear me.

Eclipses can get 12's pretty easily with a turbo and exhaust upgrade.
I highly doubt he had NOS cause that would be a waste of money to hit 12's..
Btw AWESOME time for you vert. got any clips?

i am ABSOLUTELY positive he has ZERO mods. Especially nitrous. The kid has nothing. the only thing he has done to his car is hit a stop sign and a fence and add a LOT of stereo equipment.

i know this because i am sort of friends with him and i know for a fact he has nothing.

i would put more than 50 dollars on this race but I dont want to him to think I am too confident.

i cant wait to kick this kids A$$!!!!!

DOOOOOD!!!!!!!!! If he has a v6 camaro with an auto in it you will kick his *** with nothing more than a set of grippy tires!!!!!! Trust me I have done it.

Man, I wish I was in your position. Meaning I wish I had my RX7's back in high school, that would have been so sweet.

Thanks CosmicButtHairs. No clips yet, but the track opens again in about a month, and I can't wait to get some. I have a digital camera that can take short films. I've done some little things (air pump removal and changed all fluids to Amsoil) over the winter so I should loose a couple tenths hopefully. Also, someone gave me some slicks I'd like to try on a test and tune night. I don't think I could compete in trophy or et street class with those.

My 13.42 sec run was my best run in really good weather. I ran a 13.55 before on the same day, but lost much traction. Sorry this is off topic...
