If they don't know what things are worth on an RX7, don't lead them to believe anything than they are crap and cheap. I wish I had a single RX-7 in a junkyard around here. The only one with them is the Rotary Doctor....and he knows what things are worth.

Yeah, I second that - buy the whole thing, parts car - or restoration.

from what i'm told the motor has a fresh rebuild on it. it scoots like hell. it has electrical problems (guage cluster doesn't work) an so the guy that owned it just got rid of it. the cheapest I can get it for is 800 if i can even buy it, but i just lost my job at boeing an only have so much to hold me up until i get another job. this couldn't have come at a worse time...

buy the car...and part it out. You'll make money.
Since you lost your job, even if you make a little...it may help

If someone approached them with $800, would they let them take it?

I say offer them $600 for the car, sell the engine as recently rebuilt, and then part out some various small things like the taillights, etc etc - then you'll have a clean shell for free essentially if anything happens to your other 7.
