HYbrid turbo and a MBC
Hey everybody
I have an hybrid turbo with the housing being different with a 3in inlet aswell.
had it rebuild by rotary power with 3mm apex and streetport.
as well as lightend fly
new silc. vac hoses
my boost is really low. 3# usally but 5.5 @ best.
i think i need a boost controller but want to go with Manual boost controller.
i know what type to go with. but went to double and may be triple check how it connect into system.
1. Do you place it inline or just vent the valve to the engine bay?
2. If so inline where does it go to?

Sounds like you should be ripping pretty good even at that. I've hear good things about hybrids. What are the specs or the stage# of your new compressor?
You must have the line running right to the actuator now. You're just on the spring. As far as connecting a MBC, easy, manifold vac/pres source to the IN side and the OUT side to the wastegate actuator. Set it all the way out or open to start, then ramp it up to whatever boost you want.
With an S5, you might have to do something with the stock solenoid. In fact, with that, get two mbcs and rig up a two-stage system.
Get a Ball & Spring boost controller. This is what I run and I like it. (in case you haven't seen the other thread)

It would be VERY advisable to get some bigger injectors ASAP.
