Hunting Idle...
Hey, ever since my pd. fire, my car has had a really high idle.... can someone suggest the easiest ways to fix the problem...

its a peice at the back of the throttle body that expands when it gets warm and closes the throttle plates a bit to bring the idle back down to normal. Do a search, I asked the same question a little while ago and someone put a pic up.

Thermowax adjustment has nothing to do with hunting idle. A hunting idle is becuase of 'unmetered' or unaccounted air entering the intake, and the ecu is trying to compensate for it. So as long as everything is sealed, your throttle can be halfway open and have no up-down issues.
If you had a fire, you should replace everything. Gaskets, hoses, grommets, etc, everything. All it takes is air leaking into the intake at the injector grommets, or even the throttle body elbow, etc to cause a hunting idle.
