humming sound from left rear wheel
I drifted into a curb the other day, so what even the best drivers have bad days... The left rear rim took a direct hit, mean while my head took a direct hit to the side window. The rim was curb fucked, but everything else checked out good, besides the alignment, steering wheel is like 25 degrees off, and a humming sound that starts at 15-25mph... I took the car to Sears for a free evaluation to see if I'm missing something. To my surprise the car came out healthy. I think I blew hub bearing. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Now, I noticed that when I do a burn out I'm not getting 2 lines!!!!!! Jacked the car up then put in gear both wheels spin, but the one I hit seems to be limited. Please help because Sears said, "I'm good".
Sounds like it's almost certainly the wheel bearing. During a rear wheel bearing job is a great time to install rear-steer eliminator bushings if your car doesn't yet have them. These could be useful in avoiding curbs during future drift attempts
