huge fuel prob

i just bought a 88 tII. it was for a grand, and the body is perfect, but anyways, the guy before had it, he owns a shop. he bought it with a blown engine, and a guy came in from a wreck with one of the same yr. he said that the wrecked one ran perfect, so he put the engine in the dead tII. well, eversense, its been flooding hardcore, if u let it fall under 2000rpm, it starts to die, and you have to stop the fuel from getting to the motor in order to start it. its real bad, please help me

some one help me, im selling my 87 gxl to help pay for it, and man have i done alot to the gxl. so please help me, i hope this isnt a flop

Well if its dying under 2k rpms, then you might have an intake leak somewhere...check all the vaccuum hose and gaskets if neccessary. Spray carb cleaner around all manifold gaskets while somebody keeps you car revved, and see if the revs raise when you spray the carb cleaner. Also maybe the guy put the wrong ohm injecotrs in the engine. What year was original engine? What year is in it now?
