im trying to get a HP estimate for my 87 na gxl with new exhaust (main cat is still on and its a single straight through) intake, 50 shot of nitrous, recently cleaned injectors (stock), new ACT clutch, and a recent tuneup....thanks guys...trying to see what cars i can smoke on the open road without actually having to race...you know...choosing my battles wisely

 

HP has only little to do with smoking cars, if you can't drive it.

 

I can drive...and I am not an ignorant person when it comes to 7s...or at least i try not to be...i read up on the car and do my homework by learning from this forum and friends at mazda rotary shops...i was just asking a simple question, opinions rather. I was just cusious what other people thought. I can already smoke 4bangers, i was just wondering if Nos would put me up into the 5.0 and up catagory. Thanks.

 

Your car is light and with good traction i think you could kill a few 5.0 Maybe about 180 to the wheels. But i think i'm being nice. take it to a dyno and get an AFC. that would help you maximize your NOS. Also an ignition amp like a MSD or Crane. I use a jacobs, because i got it cheap.
