How is your front license plate installed?

Well I just got pulled over for having no license plate in the front of my FC for the second time now. I figure it's about time I did something about it...lol. Just curious how you all mounted it?

Mine has a mounting bracket on the top side of the air dam.

Mine was mounted with a bracket that came up from the upper edge of the front dam. There are two bolts there that held it on. It has since been removed and the law hasn't bothered this FC owner yet.

You say that now, but I bet when you actually get that fine we'll be the first to hear all about it...

I use the factory bracket, but I've redrilled the plate to mount it further up so it doesn't block so much of the radiator intake.

I mounted mine in the garbage car, same place as all my other front plates go. Seriously though I have been pulled over for not having a front plate before but 100% of the time it hasnt really been about the plate i.e. "wheres your front plate? and by the way you were going a little fast back there" I have never gotten a front plate ticket though. I wouldnt worry about it too very much.

if your going to mount it you should mount it low on the bumper on a bracket with a weak hinge so it faces the ground at speed then pops back up at a stop

I guess maryland is really nice about certain things. I have never been given **** about anything on my car. The only that is wrong with it is the front license plate. And my car is bone stock, and I don't peel out at stop lights, and don't race on the streets. Maybe that is why?

And the other reason why is my car is getting rebuilt also. Haha.

Well cops around here are dicks...the guy was behind me in the fast lane...i pulled over for him cause he was on my *** like they always are...he speeds past me...slows down to the point where i have to pass him...then he pulls me over for it. but he never did really tell me what he pulled me over for like they usually do. I know he wanted to get me...I've gotten like 12 tickets in my FC and none in my other car which is a Jetta. They target "fast looking cars" w/ young "punks" driving. So now I'm not going to give them any reason to pull me over in the first place.

I have never been bothered in Rochester for not having a front plate. Then again, I don't drive my RX7 that much on the street.

If you drive conservatively, chances are, they will not bother you.

Cops here can give you a ticket while your car is parked if you have no front plate. But if you own a Corvette C5 with no front plate, you won't get a ticket.

here is the only place it looks good....I have a FMIC-I still have great cooling-same as with it off...never a problem with overheating...even while in Italy, in 100+F heat, stuck on the Autostrada in traffic(dead stop) heading towards Venice...all it takes is two small screws...secure enough for 150+mph speeds

Everything with you guys has to be a "kit" doesn't it? There's no such thing, they simply screw the plate into the bumper where they want it or fab up some brackets. Even if such a kit existed, actually paying to import one would be madness...

Two screws into the bumper cover. Some parts of Maryland have cops that do pull people over for it - and I've got enough "non-compliant" parts on my car it's not worth drawing that much more attention to it
