I think it would look good as long as you could find one just like that with rx-7 written in it . Personal opinion.

 

Yeah, my shift **** and boot were in very bad shape. So I got a new boot from redline goods, and an RX-8 **** from ebay. When I got the ****, I just ripped out the shift pattern.

It looks weird if you think that's an FC.
I believe that is an FD.

i like my stock s5 shift **** too, but its starting to rip...so i figure to change it to sumthing different and more "rotor-ry"

 

Im tryna find one now. i won one on ebay but when i tried to pay the guy said he didnt have anymore so now im outta luck. I got a whole black/brushed aluminum design ready for my car and this shift **** just tops it off.

 

There was a group buy a while back on European 5 speed leather illuminated rx8 shift *****. Looked real nice but the price was too high. I think it was close to $180-$200.

I think the rex-eight logo wouldn't bother me that muchos grandes...
But the **** on rx7.com has a regular shiftpattern, I think it's the best solution if the figure 8 bothers someone...

why the hell did they named it RX8 anyway??

lol the "problem " with the stock shift ****, is it is longer than my short shifter. I got the razo **** that is jsut a polished ball of aluminum with the shift pattern etched in.

 

Iv have had an Rx8 **** in my FC for about a year now... In my opinion its the perfect **** for the FC, well, at least it match's well in mine (black interior)

I dont like the fact that it says 6 speed, but, im not going to butcher the **** to get rid of that.

 

I'm pretty sure the rx8 seats will not fit in the FC. Something about them being too wide. They fit in the FD though I think.

 

There's a version of the RX-8 **** with a 5 speed pattern on it, in europe they're offered with it. Some guys on the 3rd gen forum haven been putting them on their cars. With the amber illumination it looks quite nice.

 

yeah you can acually pick them up still pick them up at http://rx7.com/products/ but they are $99 brand new and they are direct screw on's to the FD shifter threads not the FC.

 

I'm pretty sure FD and the s5 shifter are the same.

 

I've gotten the rx8 **** for my FD for $40 shipped (almost brand new) off of rx8club.com member. It looks and feels great. I'm not sure it will match the interior of fc but it is a great ****.

True, very true..
But like stated by ilike2eatricers a bit too wide and perhaps a bit too tall, so it would look kinda weird. But the looks anyway is !!!

 

Search for a thread started by "herblenny" , he did a group buy on the european 5-speed pattern RX-8 *****. I picked one up, its very nice. A bit pricey at ~$200 shipped just to get the 5-speed pattern, but its very nice and Im happy I bought it.

 

I'm also happy with mine, though I wish it sat a little bit lower .

BTW: the rotor tip on the 5-speed one is chrome, not brushed aluminum and it lights up completely red from under the shift pattern, not amber .

 

does the stock rx8 one illuminate?
