A 225 will fit the 8" no problem, it should be pretty much flush. My friend has 235's on his 9inch wheels and those are damn near flush, maybey a slight bit on the narrow side

225 series on 8inch =
______
l^^^^ l
l^^^^ l
l^^^^ l

225 series on 9inch =
._____
/ ^^^ \
l ^^^^l
l ^^^^l

i think the perfect fit for an 8" rim is 245. i have 225's on my 8" rims right now, its slightly narrow compared to the rim, but still a good fitment.

Yeah, but good luck trying to get a 245 to fit under the front fender without issues.

I have 225 tires on my 16"x7" rims.

I would go bigger if I were you, probably 245.

Check the wheels/tires section.

225's fill fit absolutely fine on 8's and 9's. on the 9's it will be a little bit stretched but it doesnt matter because it cant hurt anything at all.
and since im assuming you already have the 225s, dont go out buying new tires. a lot of people here like to run bigger sizes on the back, but i prefer the same size all around to keep it balanced.

Yes, it is possible to put 225's on a 9inch rim. Not all shops will do it however. I know Sears won't. (at least not the one I work at)

It will look something in the neighborhood of

It will not be THAT stretched, that's just to give you a rough idea.

I'd throw whatever has the most tread on the rear. If tread is about equal, I'd put whatever tire had a better treadwear rating on the rear.

These are the two 9" rear wheels, you can kinda see how much the lip sticks out of the tire since its stretched (Don't hit any curbs :p)

i run falken ziex 512's in the front of my car. and i only run 205 on a 16x8. na power = burning 205's and i dont want bigger tires in the front because that would oversteer too much. so i have 205's all around. theyre great tires, with good grip, so in 225s they should be even better. throw em on the front
