How well do the rotary engines hold up to nitrous?

I was just wondering how well the rotary engine held up to nitrous? What's the biggest shot you can put on an NA engine and still be safe?

I know rotarys love NOS what is the highest shot is a good wuestion. It depens if you have enough fuel and run aqua mister, run colder plugs, and a NOS retard. it would depend and what the motor can handle power wise. you could push more with lower compression. so how far do you want to go???

small shot.

I heard from RX7.com that a small shot (preferably 50-65) is good, fun too. It wont damage the engine. But go with a 50-66 wet shot. Because then you dont have to upgrade the fuek pump, but make sure you have a good exhaust, intake, and ignition. (RX7.com told me)

whatever it is, its not Zex. at our local speed shop, they call it "Broken piston in a bottle" so im sure its not that great for rotaries. id hate for you to end up calling it "Blown Apex seal in a bottle".

venom looks pretty nice w/ their computer control set up. but thats VERY expensive.

Why does everyone think that the rotary is so damn different that the same rules of tuning don't apply? The question should be "How well does any engine hold up to slapped on, poorly tuned nitrous set-ups?" The answer is BADLY! Nitrous should never be considered a quick and easy way to "bolt on" horsepower. Like any mod that has the potential to add 50-100hp (or more), if you don't set it up right first time, there'll be tears. If your engine is reasonably healthy, the right amount of extra fuel is added (preferrably dyno checked), the ignition's slightly retarded and cooler plugs are fitted, you should be sweet.

but you know as well as we do that many things on the rotary behve differently to different things. there are different tolerances for the rotary. yeah a LOT of piston/rotary stuff is the same but there are those few things. (plus we like to think we live in a different world from all those piston heads)
