How to tell if ECU is fried?
I need some help from the forum guru's here. I am so close to getting my turbo2 running. I bought the car with a blown motor. tossed a jdm one in. After changing out a bad fuel pump, i have good compression, good fuel pressure at the start position, and spark. from what i can tell, the last problem is getting the injectors to fire. i pulled the plugs, and cranked over the motor a few times, but i can not detect any fuel in the rotor housing. I know the injectors are good. I had them cleaned and inspected by rc engineering. Could the ECU be fried? is this a syptom of an old crusty harness? or am i overlooking another problem? thanks

hi, when I had my turbo 2 I went through several ecu's. When I had a bad one, the car would crank and act like it was gonna start but no dice.. wouldn't be a bad idea to get a good one and try it out.. they don't go for much around here..

an easy way would be to install the diagnostic LEDS

or http://www.fc3spro.com/TECH/HOWTO/ER...KI/kerror.html
once you have that down, turn the key to the ON position. Both LEDs should light up for few seconds if the ECU is working correctly.
