How tall is too tall?
Hey, I was wondering, how tall was the tallest person to fit in an RX-7? I'm about 6'4" and wondering if it's going to be a tight squeeze getting into my GXL I'm picking up on sunday (if it is, I'll cut off a foot or something!) Just wondering what's the limit!
Is *EVERYONE* out there short!? Just post how tall you are and if you fit!

Yeah, 6'4"......
I'm 6'7", skinny. My short hair rubs on the headliner of my T2. Had more room in my 82 GS w/sunroof and 81 S without. Non T2-FC, no problems. FD-- Not sure yet.

I'm 6'0", and I fit no problem. I have a friend that's 6'8" and he can fit in the passenger side. If you lean the seat back enough you should have no problem, just don't count on having access to the storage bin if the seat is back

I'm gonna try getting a Kirkey aluminum race seat and just bolting it straight to the floor.

I am 6'5" and just barely fit in my vert with the top up, but I do. I have the seat all the way slid back, and all the way leaned back, and I can reach all the controls fine, and stick in my seat in corners as well. It can be done.

Well, I'm hoping I'm going to fit, or I'll just have to lower the rails on the seat somehow.... that or I'll just take the seat out and put a cushing down there and prop up a board or something?

Im 6 foot 175lbs, and I feel comfortable as hell, I put the seat all the way back though because I tilt the wheel all the way down and its a bit uncomfortable on the knees when I get in and out.

I'm 5'10"ish at 170#. My head comes close to to rubbing. I have a damn sunroof in my T2. I hate those things. With a helmet I have to slide the seat back and lean it just so my head isn't hitting the headliner. I figure I'm a broken neck waiting to happen in case of some freak autoX accident. At this rate I'll never be able to put in a cage and expect any level of safety. My body will be intact in case of an accident, but my head will bounce about. I can't drive in any other position than almost fully upright. My non-car buddies don't seem to get it. Oh how they mock me so, calling me the drivers ed teacher just because I care about proper visability and driving position. I plan on getting a full bucket seat almost rubbing the floor to give me more headroom. I want to get it as low as possible and still have it be able slide back and forth to ingress/egress ease.

2+2 model
I'm 6'3" and 192 lbs and fit fine in my 88 GXL with the seat all the way back and leaned back probably a bit more 'cause I have a 2+2 model which may give you a little more room. Buying a 2+2 model is the only way my wife would let me buy one.(to fit the 2 boys we have)

I'm 6'-6" and I fit okay without a skid lid. With the seat reclined back enough to fit my head in, I can reach the wheel just fine. My problems are my big clod hoppers (size 15) tend to hit all three pedals at once. Another problem is my head is so far back that the B-pillar gets in my way when I change lanes. I have to crane my neck forward and look back to see if anyone is on my driver's side. In order to get in, I have to plop my butt down and then swing my legs in.
All of these "inconveniences" are worth it though.

yeah eventhough im 6'6" about 260, everything cool in my T2, like someone said, on long trips, it can get bad. back starts hurting, etc.
plus if your taller then like 6'4, its pretty dangerous with our heads being even or above the door frame. if anyone of us, knock on wood get hit from the drivers side, that can result in a major injury.
i dont move the car without puttin the belt on.
anyway, still happy i can fit, id be a miserable man otherwise .
