How to take rear spoiler off on 2nd gen?

How to take rear spoiler off on 2nd gen?

Has anyone done this? Seems like they just pop off but I dont want to brake anything..know what I mean? Its the GTU kind or series 5 style.

Yeah, it's fairly simple. Pull all of the interior stuff, you need to get your hands inside the fenders, reach up, and pull off several threaded nuts, I think 3 per side. IIRC, all of them were hand tightened, so you don't need tools for it. The ugly part is having to remove all the interior panels in the trunk to get your hands in there.

Two finger tight nuts on the bottom side, two 10mm nuts in the middle, and two phillips head screws from the topside.

Thnx again. Do u know exactly how many turns it takes for the nut to be off the stud?

Some people can't understand it for real though. Some ******** in a junkyard cracked an 89 spoiler I bought. After I told them EXACTLY how to do it.

Oops I didn't know that was a screw, not a bolt head. Um... ****

Now I gotta figure out what to do with it now, since I drilled a hole for it sit in. (added the wing to an 88 without the wing)

Oh well

Put a nut and bolt on it, those screws are always rusted to hell and strip when I try to mess with them
