Question How strong a clutch kit do I need?

Any comments about the strength of these 2 units behind a N/A with a couple of mods?

ZX2-HDSS: pressure increase 34% over stock
ZX2-XTSS: pressure increase 75% over stock

Also, I know that I have not added a lot of HP but the OEM clutch could not really handle a stock engine, and now I'm adding a cold air box, and header will the +34% increase ACT kit be enough or do I need the +75% kit?

Thanks!

For an n/a the ACT street/strip clutch will hold up fine with hard launchs. I bought one after I fried my stock one and its held up well ever since, and daily driving isnt compromised hardly at all. Its seen its fair share of drag racing too IMO.

Gee a distinct lack of opinions, strange for this forum

I guess that I am the only N/A owner who's clutch slips!

When dealing with clutches... get the big one

Actually, not really, no. Heavier clutches put more stress onto the torrington bearings, which is pointless if you do not need the extra clamping force.

When buying clutches, buy the one to suit your application.

I ordered the ZX2-HDSS kit from ACT, 'heavy duty' not 'xtreme'...I think that c-squared has the right idea
