how to replace a side glass
Hi, someone broke into my 91 Convertible and now I need to replace the little triangle widow on the driver's door. does anyone have a little advise on how to do this? do I install it from inside the door panel and push it up in place?? thanks

read the shop manual
I would suggest though that you take it to a shop and have them do it, I'd imagine it's like replacing a windshield and it's a MESS to do those

no glue is involved. the rubbe seal that goes around the window is fine as well.
can't afford to take it to a shop. if I was going to take it in everytime something needed to be fixed then I wouldn't use this forum. Just hoping someone has done this before and can at least tell me if I'm on the right track.
thanks,

also at the top of the door there are a couple of screws that hold the weather stripping on..and 2 more underneath the weather stripping that go to or through a little meatal peice. i think you have to remove thos or you would stand a chance of tearing up the weather stripping. its pretty easy just a little tedious to remove the door panels and such. removing all the screws on the window will not affect your regulator so dont worry about it. i removed it all a few weeks ago without the shop manual or any experience. i just started taking screws out and pay close attention to the little washers and such that connect to the window. while you have the window out you might check into some new grease that the window slides on...just a little extra thing to do that could extend the life of your power windows.
pm me if you got any questions.
