New ones look NOTHING like rubberized undercoating, have you ever seen new ones?

They're simply called outer door window seal, and you can get the Mazda part from Victoria British, about $42 each. Check Mazdaformance also, I'm sure they can get them, not sure on the cost.

Rob XX 7 is right, people would bitch whatever the price. But when you SEE someone's nicely repainted RX-7 (and maybe even a more expensive custom job) it REALLY looks complete when all the trim pieces look new too. Yeah, it's expensive-- get over it.

Otherwise, if you're lucky enough to know someone down south, atleast you may be able to get two that are not rusting and paint those.

When I painted my car I bought new ones from Mazda. They cost $45 per side (Canadian) and were PLASTIC. Therefore, no more rust. I say just go to a dealer and buy them. Don't waste your time painting metal ones that are already compromised by rust. They'll just rust again.

Right. New ones are plastic. I think my dealer quoted $30 for them (ea).
