I've been pulling apart my 87 (just got it last sunday ) to start on weight reduction n all. The rear quarters are in 2 pieces, if all you're lookin to take off is the lower half there's a screw on the bottom near the door sills. It actually screws into the door sill but part of the quarter is held down by it too. Once you take that off the rest are metal plug type things, almost like all the annoying plastic ones holding the carpet down except these don't break like they do. Just use a screw driver to help push up where each of the plugs are. I think there were either 8 or 10 on the bottom. Idk either the bottom had 10 n the top had 8 or vice versa. But anyway, they hold pretty tight but just be careful (yet forcefull in the proper area) and you wont have any problems. Good Luck, pm me if you got any other questions.
