how to remove 2+2 seats in the back ?

Question how to remove 2+2 seats in the back ?

hi !

i brough a 1988 rx-7 FC GXL

very good condition with new wheels.

it s a 2+2, i want to remove all the back seat,
to drop some weight, i check but coud'nt
locate where are the bolts , help please !

the seats only weigh about 5 lbs, but are absolutely useless unless you have no legs. The bottom front pulls up from clips, the bottom should then kind of slide forward from hangers at the back. The back of the seat I beleive is secured by 2 12mm bolts. Unclick it from the strut towers and it should come out. Once the bottom is out of the way you will see how it works.

I did this when I converted my former Blue Interior to Black s5 TII Interior. It's as wpgrexx has said and If you decide to put In the Rear Bins, It's a direct drop In, which Is no surprise.

If I remember correctly, you will need the long stretch of carpet to make everything match. They are different.

Don't forget to remove the brackets up at the Speaker Towers too.
