How to pass smog/emission w/ j-spec?

I recently bought a s5 n/a rx7 with a s5 jspec engine and i need to smog it in CA.
I know i need to:
-install air pump
-install air splitter pipe
-install stock exhaust
-install stock bov ???

Anything else?

It it true that S5 models dont have EGR, or is there?

Thanks!!!!

You'll need a chassis/VIN of a turbo2 car. They will run your vin number and see your car is N/A but once they see the snail or the IC, FAIL. If that car didnt get a swap with a us spec 13bt, have the title updated with CA, then swapped a 13bt jspec.... You will not pass the legal way.

You guys are smoking...

the VIN in the smog tester doesn't tell you if it is a Turbo or not. Its the tech putting the car info in.

The tech scans the registration letter, which dumps the VIN in, then he (or she) selects the engine of being the standard engine or the Turbo engine, and smogs accordingly.

The only guys that would know if the VIN was correct for a non turbo or Turbo would be the Mazda dealers (and everyone knows that you never ever ever take the car to the dealer) or a rotary specialist and never take it too a Rotary specialist for smog. Take it to the cheapo test only guy down the street that has barely ever even seen a rotary motor.

AND the other loop hole is that you can put a newer motor in any car. You just have to meet the smog standards for the same year as the motor.

So you have a 89 car, and you just tell them that it is a 91 Turbo motor. Then you just have to meet the 91 standards.
