How necessary is the TID check valve hose?

I have noticed my stock TID to be cracked at the turbo, so im going to replace it with a 3" peice of bent exhaust tubing. I have an atmospheric BOV so i dont need that on the new TID.

Im missing the actual check valve on the hose, and this is the way ive had it setup since the car has been running. Just the hose hooked up to a vacuum hose and into the TID.

My first question is A) is it bad not to have the check valve? And can i be doing any damage by not having it.

And B) Do i need to have that hose on the new TID. And if not, should i just plug up the hose?

THanks!

Are you talking about the hose that the bov would recorculate the air though? Once I got my bov I just plugged mine on the tid.

There are two besides the BOV.
The boost controller outlet has no check.
The emissions charcoal canister purge outlet has a check.

Hmm i only see two outlets on my stock TID. The big one for the stock BOV (just plugged it up cause i dont need it n e mo) and a smaller 1/4" diameter hole just beneath it.

I think thats the hole that the charcoal canister check valve (purge valve?) goes into. I have since removed my charcoal canister....

Where is the boost controller outlet? Anyone have a pic? Maybe that would explain why my car has been running like crap.... i have an open hole in my TID or i plugged the wrong hose into the wrong hole!

ok cool. I was wondering about that extra hole....

Still can anyone help me with my original question? Im going to start on the TID today, and i need to know if i have to drill any holes.

If possible i would like to get rid of that purge valve, i dont even have the C. Canister anyway.

Alright, all i need to know is when i do my TID do i need to keep that hose? Is it ok to remove? Has anyone ever removed it?

I want to have a TID that has no extra nipples on it, plus since i dont have the check valve available anymore, i think it might be messing with my intake reading to my ECU
