How much would you sell this?

I have a red 1989 Mazda GTUs. Paint is red, but barely clearcoat on, spots where clearcoat is completely gone. Dent driver front fender, but it's smooth so you can just pop it out. There's 226k on the chassis, and about 78k on the rebuild. Everything is stock, but new radiator and heater hoses and radiator hoses. Runs perfect, aux ports open and there's no "choking" at 3500 rpms? or 4500? whichever one. just wondering how much i should sell it for. kbb says 3600 roughly for private party

In my Maryland Zip Code, kbb says $3300 for "excellent," $2400 for fair. If it needs new paint and bodywork, I think the lower end is more like it. "Excellent" basically means it looks like a new car.

Um, no, that is for "Excellent" condition. Yours is in "Fair" condition, which should be about $2,400 or so. There are quite a few morons out there, so hopefully one of them will actually pay $3,500 for your car because they think it is rare, or for some other stupid reason.

Good luck, I think you'll get 2k-2500.
