its that simple
After doing a LOT of work to my TII, I came to the realization that I'll probably never sell it because i can't stand seeing that much money driving away.
Right now, If I parted my car out on E-Bay.. I could get about 8 grand out of it, maybe closer to 9. If i sold it outright, i might get 6500-7K if i was lucky and caught someone who was looking for exactly what i got.

People who pay over 3500-4k for an N/a in any condition are out of their minds, not counting 3500 dollar n/a's with a TII swap in the hatch ofcoarse.

BTW, nice avatar sonicrat.
Edit: I just now looked at the car. Honestly, I don't care much for it, but I know plenty of people who would love it. If you find the right person you could get 5k or so, but you'll have to wait until a ricer thats into stuff like neons and huge stereo systems comes along. Also, cleaning up the interior would help resale value a lot.

As for the car. I would pay 2k. TOPS. I bought my N/A S5 FC for more. It was stock and just had a rebuild.
I like the exterior work. It looks alright except for the stickers. The rims are ugly. Underbody lights? Ummmmm.... No thanks.
The interior sucks. I would yank every bit of that stuff out and replacing everything in it. Do you really need the big shift light? Do you have missles in that? Cause it looks like you have switches for them. Subs are ghey anyways unless done right (and no, two big *** subs in a car is not done right).
I honestly just wouldn't pay much for it. Mainly because I'm not intrested in it. However some 16 year old ricer would enjoy the car and prolly pay a bit for it.
If by chance I was in the market for a car such as that, I'd think 2K~2.5K is fair and decently reasonable. But, you would make more $ if you were to part out the "nice" stuff, and sell it on ebay- and find some nice stock parts and restore the car. I'd be more willing to pay $3K for a car that was in close to 'mint' condition.

Please go do your research before making such ignorant comments.

This practically makes all non-turbos a waste of my time.

Man... So harsh... If the man has money to blow in his car...what the heck...why not! Not something we would do...buy then again...not all of us are 17~! lol... Sorry... Man... Id give somewhere between 2,400-3000.
I would agree with previous statements... take the "boy racer" stickers off... go for the sleeper look...course...you lost that when the body kit and red paint went on... LOL... Its a pretty car...We just like TURBO's! They are like *****...you gota have em and the bigger the better!

3-4 grand depending how professionally the body work was done, who rebuilt the engine, and a few other little things. Honestly new paint, engine work, and rims all usually cost around 2-3k (my rebuild alone will be 2k when its all said and done). I wouldn't mind paying it for that car if everything was done right.
I'de remove the stickers and put in the rest of the interior first, if I was a potential buyer I'de see that as you being lazy.
Anyways, a local GSL-SE was sold for $4,000, 89,000 original miles, very good shape. I'm sure you could get something simular to it in price

Honestly I'm fine modifying my NA, its a car I know alot about with a perfect body and paint. Plus I'm attached, I can't say the same for others but you have to respect their decisions and choices.
If we were all smart we'd have LS-1's, wouldn't we?

. I spent months replacing hackjobs on the TII until I eventually sold it for pornography.

On spray it isn't. Short of gutting and some serious porting though, you'll have some serious issues keeping up with a bone stock WRX with an N/A. But then again, for an extra $1000 they can make it difficult to beat them even with spray in an N/A.

You may think you know what you're talking about but anyone that knows me and has met me knows I don't do that.
The only cars i've parted out would require more than 2-4k dollars in work to return to driveable.
One was my own 87 Sport which was totaled. I'll send you the pics if you want them.
The other was a blown engine 88 GXL with no and I do mean NO paperwork(tittle was lost by the owner that sold it to the person that I bought it from. With my local laws I would need to track down about three people and ask them to give me all their personal info like ID/SS and have them all sign a few books of paperwork just to be able to register it in my name, then i'd have to bring the car back from a blown engine and repair the dammage on the body, which suprisingly included rust. Additionally to that it had a bad AUTOMATIC tranny.
So when you open your damn mouth about ME you better f'n know what you're talking about!
PS- I've gotten several FCs back to drivable including my own GTU and GXL, not counting friends' and 'customer' cars. Not to mention i'm working on my fourth FC my 89 TII which was left abandoned in a junk yard by its previous owners.
