How much is this worth? 1990 TII dead motor
Ok, Im considering buying a TII that is in pretty good shape beside the guy said the motor needs rebuilt. I believe the car has around 120k miles on it.
The exterior is black. Little to no body imperfections aside from some paint chips on the front lip.
The interior looks nice, black leather. Light wear on the drivers side seat.
Overall it looks like a real nice car.
The problem is, I have to drive almost 500 miles to get it. He wants $1000 for the car the way it sits. Said everything on the car was working great before the motor pooped out. Do you guys think its worth it? Thanks!!

...94% correct.
Where is it? Buy a motor before you go out and get a member in the area to help you drop it in...drive the bitch home. It'll make the guy feel real bad about selling seeing someone pull up with a motor, cherry-picker, a handful of tools, and 2 hours of free time and drive her away...

lol, I dont have the time (or money) to put a new motor in it immediately. It was just going to be my project for the next several months.
Currently i have an 88gxl that I was going to put a V8 in. But my car needs bodywork and I HATE bodywork. The TII is straight, and I would rather rebuild an engine than puddy/paint a car.
So you all think its worth the $1000? I tried to get him down a little but he didnt want to budge. Oh yeah, Im goig to put up another pic that I dont know what the hell is. Its some funny blue thing in the engine compartment.... I will get the pic up in a sec.

Really though, I need some real honest answers to what that part is,
and if this car is worth 1000 bucks, and the 1000 mile round trip drive to
get it.... Thanks

...94% correct.
1000 miles equal roughly 75 gallons. That's nearly $225 in fuel. So you figure:
$1000 for the car
....225 for the fuel
..2000 for a propper rebuild +shipping and all that crap
$3225 for a car you can sell for $5000
Whether it's worth it or not is entirely dependant on whether or not you're willing to put the time and effort into the car, and if you're willing to gamble.
I still think you should part it.
