How much should I expect to pay for a good set of turbo S4 cast iron side peices? I might only need the center and rear, but its a little expensive new, and no rotary shops in my area have any they are willing to sell.

Basically the engine ive got now that I havent picked up yet, some idiot decided it would be a good idea to fill the cooling system with 100% water and one of the irons are cracked at least, the engine is siezed. Im hoping its just the rear.

search your classifieds for your area

I would expect you could get an individual iron (useable condition) for 50-100 bucks........you should factor in that you will more than likely.....in fact definetly.....need to get the irons machined before reinstalling.

some people will tell you that you can clean them up (break the glaze) and reinstall them - which is true, its been done - but ideally to eliminate the possibility of problems machining them is the best.
