How much pressure in the PS lines?

I have a small leak and was wondering what amount of pressure the lines have to take. I read somewhere that PS lines (not specifically in 7s) take 1000lbs. I think those people are on crack though.

Could goto the store and buy a little canister torch and some welding wire, but I have other things laying around that may work just as well and I won't have to spend $20 for a torch and wire.

According to the FSM test data, it's over 1000 psi.

Your best bet is to take the leaking hose to a local hydraulic repair shop, and have a new one made.

Edit: The 1000 psi is on the high pressure side of the p/s pump. The suction side is about 50 psi.
