Wow, first nitrous thread I've seen in a while.
Anyway, I don't recall exactly, but I'm pretty sure you should run a wet shot on a rotary, not a dry. I seem to remember seeing that you could run a 50-75 shot safely if its a wet system. Anyway, search for it as I know there are several threads on the subject.

I ran a 50 and 75 shot on a wet system w/ no problems. Just make sure u have enough fuel.
I never ventured above a 75 shot, so i cant say what the limits are but as said before scathcart has a good write up.

an N/A can handle 75-100 wet shot of nitrous. Before you do this though you should upgrade your fuel system as the stock version will not be reliable. There are also threads posted all over this website and even write up on how to and upgrade suggestions. Good luck

Depends on the engine and the nitrous system.
Tell us what your engine plans are, and I can tell you what I think you can squeeze on it.
I'm starting at 300 jettings on my PPort and aiming to quit at 400... so you can see it really depends on your system.
I like to tell big-power nitrous suckers to stay away from dry systems. Most dry systems use an FMU (Fuel management unit). Simply: to add more fuel, these things jack up the fuel pressure.
Upped fuel pressure causes bad things. I'd stay under 75 MAX with a dry system.
Then again, I'd only ever use a wet system.

I'd planned on just bold ons and of course a fuel system upgrade along with nitrous. I've had a TII but then I sold it when it went down on me now I got a 88 NA and I want to go with spray first before I think of turbo'ing. Just a change to experience a more all motor rotary feel. Thanks for the help guys and anymore would be greatly appreciated

If you're willing to swap to a TII drivetrain, you can go pretty big.
TII drivetrain, decent clutch, remove the auxilary ports, direct port (two foggers, one per secondary runner), bigger fuel pump, intake, and a header (no cats, of course), and you can go ahead and spray 150-200. Might want to add in a window switch, too.
150 hp shot at 4000 rpm is an extra 200 ft-lbs or so, so you might want some sticky rear tires, too.
With N/A's, the two big worries are: breaking the tranny, and the auxilary ports. (they MUST be open when spraying, and even then, it can cause backfire. best to simply remove them).
while we are on it i have a question. I am running a 50hp wet shot of nitrous on my 86 gxl. When I hit it, I can feel it kick in, then it doesnt feel like it hits very hard. I can hear it spraying in the intake, I just cant feel any power? any ideas? Is it because it needs to be tuned? thanks in advance.

Yes.
What size jets are you running?
