My Grandfather lost his DL and I am selling his 1987 RX7 light blue color suroof 5 speed with Original 70,000 miles He bought the car new has A/c that does not work never been in an accident tags are current and passed smog I am in CA. Car had only one driver and looks and runs good. I put it On Craigs List In CA I have had so many interest I advertised it for $2500 Can anyone tell me if this is a reasonable price and what might be a nice price. is this year 1987 popular? with 70kmiles? Please help I want to sell this car and I need some input. Thanks to all of your help?

 

I would say 3K with an impeccable exterior and interior

when you set the selling price, just pretend you are a buyer, ask yourself how much you would pay for the car as a reasonable price. then start from there to adjust it a little. that is rule I follow. too high, no buyer. too low, you lose money.

 

What kind of *7 rx-7 is it. Does it have a little spoiler on the back and five lug wheels? Or does it have 4 lug wheels? and how good is the interior and exterior condition. Also, Does it say GXL anywhere on the body?

 

even an 87 base that runs good with 70,000 can be sold for over $2,000, but don't get screwed some models are worth more then others....(GTU, TII) so check the model and post it

The 1987 has no spoiler and no other lettering like GTU, TII, or GLX on the body. It runs gr8 with 70KMiles. And it has 4 lugs on each tire NOT 5 lugs.

i just bougt a great condition 87 base with 96000 original miles for 1k. good body, no rust, good interior, and the engine runs great

 

Okay, almost there, does it have auto adjust suspension and a rear wiper? You either have a GXL, or an SE/base. If it's a base, I'd ask for 2300-2500. if its a GXL and most of the options work, 2500-2700. Thats what I'd pay for a nice car.

It is most likely a base, because only a few GXl were 4 lug, and they all had markings that said GXL.

If you've had people willing to buy for 2500, take their offers.
