How much is my FC worth? Pics inside
It is an 88 SE
The paint is technically GM 94 Torch Red, but it is the same as the Mazda Blaze Red, got it cheaper through a hook-up
The car doesn't have any scratches or door dings yet, good time to possibly sell.
The exhaust is totally stock, all three cats in place. There is a drop-in K&N air filter inside the air box. The motor only has 1500 miles on it, a Kevin Landers rebuild.
There are TII seats in it, the radio surround is great, unbroken. The idiot lights are re-soldered and working. I have the parts for adding cruise, but haven't gotten around to it yet. The tires only have 6k miles or so on them. The windshield was also replaced when the paint was added. The floor mats are gray with black embroidered letters saying "Mazda RX-7" in the same design as the rear emblems. The rear hatch is tinted. I have a set of side windows that are tinted, but not installed b/c it is illegal in MI. I got them off a TN parts car I bought.
The interior is 95% perfect. I have new door panels that are perfect to go along with the ones in the car. The ones inside now have 5.25" holes in them to fit the Infinity Reference speakers installed there. The rear speakers are also Infinity Reference 6.5" in the stock locations
The deck is a JVC El Kameleon KDLX-50. I also have a Kenwood 11-band eq w/ parametric controls and subwoofer cut-off freq and gain controls.
The interior speakers aren't powered by the deck, but by an Infinity Kappa 102a amp. It is 100Wx2 @ 4 ohm or 150Wx2 @ 2 ohm. It is running in 2 ohm and powering all 4 speakers that way.
Optional subwoofers can be left installed:
(2) 10" Infinity Reference 1020W subs powered by an Infinity Kappa 202a amplifier. Custom sub plates are made and the subs are stuffed in each corner between the rear interior and the shock towers.
The sunroof assembly works good too.
The rear shocks and springs are also like new, shocks still blue and no rust on them at all.
Any other questions to help with an accurate value, let me know.
I was curious what people think it is worth.

The tires are Yokohama Avid S/T bought from Tirerack.com
215/60R14, almost perfect to stock size and the speedo and odometer work fine. They look a little more aggresive than the stock pizza cutter 14s that are supposed to be on it.
The odometer read 169k, but the clutch is almost brand new as well as the motor. The AC works, as well as the heat and all the logicon controls.
I am thinking of going with a truck or Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am moving alot between home and college and I need something that is good in the winter and can haul a trailer as well as me around.

The body has 169k on it. The paint job is well under 10k. I think it is actually around 7k miles if I am thinking right. I want to say I had just shy of 2000 miles left on the last oil change before the original motor popped.
If I can't find a buyer to make it worth my while selling (meaning less than 3k) than I will keep this thing. Not worth taking a total wash on it. I have 3500 invested into this thing now, over 4k with the motor added on now.
Thanks for the suggestions, I do have a friend that is considering giving me 3000 for it. I may sell to him.

Ya the sad part about these cars is that you never get back what you put into them. Thats why alot of people just keep their cars instead of taking a big loss. Personally I've only put about $2500 into my TII total so far and am sure I can get that much back easy. Good luck selling it though. And if you sell it make sure you get another 7 soon(get a TII and I bet you never sell it )

Well, the only reason I am even considering selling it (I wouldn't have even thought it a possibility before the 4th of July) is b/c I am afraid of popping another motor. I couldn't afford this one, let alone to lose another motor for some reason.
After further investigation by removing the exhaust manifold, I have discovered that an Apex is missing in one slot of the rear rotor, but I can't find any rotor damage by spinning it around and around. I plan to tear it apart after I finish parting out my other 88 SE (Black w/ gray interior)
I will feel better after I get this all done and I figure out what caused my motor to blow. I am laying money on it just being that there was nearly 170k miles on it and it was time

Sell it to someone in California.. everything here cost 3 times as much. And most people are more than willing to pay 5 times as much. Everyone here is either unemployed... or makes alot of damn money, compared to most of the rest of the nations mean income.
