How much is my 87 TurboII really worth if I sell it???

Hey I have an 87 TurboII with 120k miles on it, has a year-old red paint job, interior is in good condition. Mods are 2.5" downpipe, 3" midpipe, 3" custom cat-back, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Autometer boost and air/fuel gauges. The problem with it is the engine, it's really worn out, and won't start when hot, even with an anti-flood switch that I put in. So basically the car can't start on demand as long as it's hot, which basically kills the value of the car because the body is VERY clean with a year old paint job, and the interior is in good shape. It has 16" 10th anniversary white wheels on it as well that are in good condition. I think the engine has lost a good amount of compression and that is the reason why it can't start when hot, so basically the engine would probably have to be replaced. Fuel injectors have already been checked and they are ok. How much would you say this car is worth if I sell it as is?? Some guy offered me $500 for it and he is gonna drop a j-spec motor in it, but some have said that $500 is low for a car with such a clean body and good interior, but then again the engine is basically shot so I'm not sure. Can anyone help??

I'd buy it in a heart beat for $500, maybe even higher. Even if I had to drive out to NY it get it.

you should be able to get closer to $1,000 for it, I have an '87 TII with almost the same mods in similar condition and 81,000mi. I've been offered $1500 for it, if I were you I'd hang in there until you got something around $900. If the car is in really nice shape then its worth that much without the engine
