Question How much is My 1988 Vert Worth?

After searching all the online appraisers. The average value from them is about $5068. Which is about what I paid for it 18 months ago. I'm considering selling it and getting a S5 TII. I want to ask $6500 for the vert. Let me know if I'm being reasonable or not...

The car is a 5-Speed 1988 Convert with about 93,000 miles. White with Blue Leather in very good shape. All original good condition. Original Top with no tears or holes. No Rust anywhere. Very Solid. Runs VERY strong for an N/A. The top Boot has never been installed. the passenger seat looks almost new the driver's sear has the normal scuff marks from gettin in and out. The car is an OUTSTANDING 10 foot car. From a few feet away, it looks awesome!

Here is a list of the mods that have been done:

1. RB Header
2. RB Pre-Silencer
3. RB lightened Flywheel
4. Bosal Mufflers
5. HKS Intake
6. Pineapple Racing Aux. Port Sleeves
7. Mazdatrix 5-point strut/engine brace
8. Cold-Air Headlight Cover
9. Enkei RSF-2 16" x 8" wheels with 225/50ZR16
10. Crossdrilled and Slotted Front Rotors
11. Hella Euro Headlight Conversion with PIAA Extreme White Bulbs
12. Tinted Windows
13. Clarion AM/FM/CD
14. MB Quart Component Speakers
15. Grant GT Elite Steering wheel 13"
16. New Clutch
17. New Windshield
18. Various Dress up (Reverse Indiglo Guages, tinted marker lights etc.)

Here's a good pic. I'm not in a hurry, so I firure I can find someone to buy it for that at somepoint.

Oh, and the oil pressure problem I mentioned in another post will be repaired ASAP.

why not sell the na specific parts and buy a t2 drivetrain... considering you have some na parts to sell, and you prolly budgeted a bit more for the t2 you can prolly do it for about the same as what you had bugeted with some selling of your old engine / drivetrain / exaust

and then have a nice fun turbo vert... cuz it seems like you have alreayd put a bit of work into the rest of the vert as well

thats what id do in your case (actualy id wait a few months and buy the fuel injected supercharger kit from atkins... but thats just me )

Not bad.

I paid $ 3,300 for my 88 with fewer (67,000) miles but bone stock. Bought it about 10 months ago.

Based on actual sales across the USA for the last three months (with a $645 bonus for the low miles):

Dealer trade in on a 88 'vert in average condition ("The car is an OUTSTANDING 10 foot car. From a few feet away, it looks awesome!") is: $2100

Private party sale (again average condition): $2750

and dealer retail (again average condition): $ 3800

so it is worth maybe $3500... it would probably be worth more without a good number of the mods or if you can find some kid that doesn't know better.
