How much left out on the driveshaft?

Well I've bought the Mazdatrix driveshaft which mates up to the NA rearend and TII tranny.

The Yoke sticks out of the tranny about an inch.

I think all they did was change the flanges so they bolt and didn't bother to check the distance.

Anyone care ti chime in on the amoutn supposed to be out of the splines/tailshaft?

A good 5 inches or so is in the tranny so I don't think it will affect anything but it just doesn't seem right for something I just paid $300 for.

It's perfectly normal

Only reason you don't see it on a stock driveshaft is it has a dust cover over the area that sticks out of the transmission.

Your right. There is no cover on this one. That's why it's weird looking.

100% normal. Trust me, they checked everything out. They didn't just throw something out there without putting some thought into it.
