too much and no. Buy an HKS AFM adapter and a Cone filter or check us out at www.aztechrotary.com . We are working on a redesigned SS version of out CAI.

I own an 88 vert too and I've currently got a cheap cone filter. I'd like to replace it with an APEXi cone filter. There is a thread on the boards all about what fileter is good and who makes what.

Here is a good site for that : Http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2

Man I wish I cold see more of your air intake stuff Santiago. I don't know if what I see would fit in my car and I might have an aftermarket radiator...but I'm not sure.

If you think those are K&N FIPK you are mistaken. They are universal filters with uneversal adapters. The filter is quality but the adapter is a peice of ****. Trust me I bought one when I was new here. Buy an HKS unit and buy a K&N filter from a local parts store. Do not get taken by the ebay scammers. An FIKP(not sure if tht is the abreviation for it) is well over 100 dollars from K&N or any other retailer.

Thanks for the warning, but as far as being mistaken I'll let you know. Protection is one of the benefits of credit cards, If it's not a K&N as described I won't be paying.

Did you buy from seller FCDtuning? If this seller is scamming he's doing a hell of a job, has about 2000 positive feedbacks.

He does advertise K&N style and true K&N for many cars so maybe that's what the issue is.I

That is what a K&N FIPK looks like, I paid about $230 for the kit Canadian that is, I think that what a bit much but I think it was worth it, made a big diffrence for me anyways.

Looks like I am apologizing to Santiago, fcdtuning send me an email stating it in the K&N filter with there adapter.

As long as the adapter seals well, do you think it's a problem? If this is just the 3 inch cone universal K&N, will it fit, should it still get installed horizontally?

Or should I just returned this thing?

Well if you got it for a good price just buy an HKS adapter which is the best one out there because it is somewhat molded to flow better into the square shape of the AFM. If you have an S5 you have nothing to worry about. If it is a real K&N filter then stick with it. All K&N units are pretty sturdy so I would not doubt the quality of the filter itself. Just make sure to mount your AFM the proper way and level.
