How much HP I can have with ... ?

Hi guys !!!

I have a beautiful Mazda RX7 TII 1988. I would like to know how much HP I can have with my modification ? and what you suggest for me to have 250hp-280hp on wheel ?

My spec is :

- Haltech E6X
- Secondary injector 720cc
- Wideband sensor
- Racing beat exhaust
- Walbro 255LPH
- Turbo stock but is modified, and is set at 12-13psi

Thanks a lot and sorry for my english :S !!!

Go 4x720cc injectors for your goal, or go bigger injectors and get more power.

Holy cow! 12-13 psi on a stock turbo? I thought 10-11 was safe, anything higher was just waiting for it to die?

And I was under the assumption that adding bigger injectors wouldn't give you much *if any* HP, just make your MPG much lower...

I'd say get a streetport for the engine, would be getting pretty close to that number I'd think.

I don't think the stock turbo produces any more power over 11lbs. of boost; but, to answer your question CyberPitz, bigger injectors allow more gas, which conversley allows more air; meaning more horsepower.

As soon as I put on my 3" exhaust, and started running 13-14 pounds on the stock turbo/intercooler, it took my car about 30 miles to blow an apex seal. Just throwing that out there......

Those mods would be able to support the power you're looking for. Although 12-13psi is pushing the stock turbo. Either back the boost down to 10-11psi or upgrade the turbo.

if you go with the setup you have now and a BNR stage 3 turbo and a nice street port then you will meet that goal if not go towards 300.

I also have a 88TII and im going with the haltek e8, rebuilt engine, BNR stage 3, 720cc secondaries, streetport,FMIC, all emissions removed, corksport exhaust, and the rest of the supporting mods and im looking for around 300

^^ +1 for the french haha
like he said, contact brian at bnrturbos.com and let him know what your aiming towards. stage 3 should be real close to 300 hp, but id run 720 primary injectors and 1600 secondaries. that along with a front mount. should be good to go after that.

and i thought id never use the french i learned in school. haha

Bigger injectors never give any HP. If anything, they rob HP. But they are necessary for higher HP or you won't be able to supply enough fuel. Then you lean out and pop a motor (whether immediately or after a while).

Upgrading a turbo is a very common way to pop a motor. Always get the necessary fuel support, tune rich, change your fuel filter regularly, etc. I hear you need your first fuel system upgrades after 250HP or so. Beyond that I dunno much. You already have bigger secondaries so I dunno what else you need if anything.

Oh, and great english. I didn't even notice that you spoke French. I thought you were just some teen who doesn't bother to check his grammar online, heh.

Most high schools offer a few choices: Spanish, French, Chinese were the three my school offered

I think it is going to be hard to boost more than 10psi off the TMIC.

With this setup your looking around 235rwp to 260rwhp at most.

add a front mount intercooler and a good tune and you can get your 280 goal.
