Lots of teeth in the drained fluid!....

hahahaha now _THAT_ sounds familiar.. only mine didn't lock up! I just kept loosing gears..

Maybe because I kept changing the oil (in hopes that might somehow stop the breaking... )

so how long should i expect my 160k mile NA tranny to last @ 9-10 psi from a series5 13BT? (if i were to take it easy in first gear)

A long time, indefinatly, if you take it easy and don't make any really rapid applications of torque to it, ie. no hard shifting, launches, stomping on the accelerator at high rpms, stuff like that.

yeah i'm usually pretty nice to the trans, i always revmatch, dont bang too many gears, only done a few burnouts, etc. i think i'll be able to be easy on it.

i'm planning on having about 250 at the wheels, so it should be fine if i'm easy on it?

the n/a drivetrain should work fine for "aggressive driving" if you still have the non turbo engine. unless your putting down a lot of power, i would save my money.

I'm pretty sure someone else has said it before in this thread, but ima gonna say it again since people are still talking about HP... It's torque, and specifically the rapid application of it that will kill a transmition, turbo motors generate *** loads more torque than N/A motors...

I don't thing the N/A tranny could take 250 tq to the wheels. It would snap. 250 at the flywheel would probably kill it.

Its easy to say you will take it easy on the tranny when you don't have a turbo on the car. It's much different when you get addicted to the boost.

The TII tranny can take 500+
