Either way, I still think that im right about the fuel pump.

QUOTE]
The only reason he would need to upgrade is if the afc couldnt add enough fuel for his port. Which is unlikely, but theres no use giving your car more fuel when it doesnt need it.

Problem is they're not facts, and posting misinformation is against the rules.

If you wanted to link to some factory power ratings you should just check out the sticky thread with the specs for fc's.

Indeed, considering it's all posted in a pretty easy way to get ahold of it. That, and it's wrong...

I talked to Chris at banzai racing. He told me i should be making very close to 200rwhp. His word is second only to God whe it comes to anything Rx. So thanks for the input, but the human dyno told me whats up. Thanks, Micah

200rwhp with an SAFC is a pretty far stretch, but who knows, dyno it and it'll probably be less.

Why dont you and your dad race your FC and his RX-8. If you are within half a car you are close to a mid to high 14, which is good for around 165ish. But dont quote me on this. You need to take it to a track for times, or go to a dyno like everyone else has said.

-I'm sorry, but i can't see a n/a rx7 with 165bhp staying anywhere near an rx-8. I know rx-8's aren't fast, but ya gotta give them more credit than that. But, i don't know, i may be wrong.

no i think you are right, a 165whp rx7 would prolly get smoked by an 8. Becuase there is more to going fast than just horsepower. The 8 is a much newer vehicle, its more efficient, its geared better with a 6 speed, i wonder how they compare in aerodynamics...

just from the looks of the two, i would say our 7 has better aerodynamics.

Yep, thats what I thought.
Also, I doubt fc's have moch better aerodynamics than the RX-8. Even if it does, it wont be enough to make a differance in 1/4 times.

hmmm, i think you will be quite sad when/ IF you ever get it on a dyno. your average street ported n/a with all the supporting mods hardly breaks 170rwhp. being un-tuned you're probably around 150 - 160rwhp. if you hit 200rwhp, then you need to find that hidden nitrous bottle

but you would definately take the rx8. they are just absolutely pathetically slow.

also you said your car cant be too down on power because you spent so much money? i hope you don't really believe in that theory. i'm not trying to bash your car, you have a good setup, you just really need to get it on a dyno and get tuned...... then join the dark side of rotaries MUHUHUAHAHAHAAAAAA!

the 8 runs a 14.5 by car and driver, thats from dumping pretty hard. And you would be surprised by the advances in aerodynamics, they have found that sharp edges arent quite as good as once thought. Look at the 350z and new vipers. Besides, the 8 is geared better. I want to see someone with a standalone on an 8, then they can get rid of alot of the obd2 emisison safeguards and whatnot.
