how much to get this out on the road?

im looking at this car and if i was going to try to put it all back together, how much do you think it might cost?

sure there are always lots of things that could be wrong and its impossible to tell since you cant run it but.. if it does in fact only need new seals and gaskets and an engine harness, how much might this cost to get it drivable?

id offer him much less of course

How familiar are you with building rotaries? If this will be your first time, read up a lot beforehand and buy one of the how-to videos to guide your through it.

Atkins Rotary sells seal kits for $545 to $1180 depending on what your replace (http://www.atkinsrotary.com/index.php?pag=5), but that doesn't take into account potential rotor and housing replacement. The existing parts need to be in good enough condition to reuse.

Find out exactly what happened to the motor. If it lost compression without throwing a seal, just the kit may be enough. But if there was water damage or a seal went through the turbo, etc..., you'd be looking at a lot more.

Not worth the trouble...

You'll spend $899.00 (+ tax and shipping and core charge of $150) for the missing engine harness from Corksport.

Then you'll spend around $1200 for the entire rebuild kit. You won't want to half *** it on a motor with 200K miles on it

+ hoses ($50)

+ belts ($60)

+ worn out, broken, and missing parts ($100-$500)

which puts you at $2860 not including the car... and that is not including any drive line or body issues that he is not telling you about.

The good buyer candidate for that car would be someone that just wrecked their existing FC, and can pull all the parts off and make one car out of the two.
