how much does a TurboII (or any FC) weigh?

Okay, I've been looking at doing a TurboII swap into my '79, but it's going to be a lot of work and I don't know if I'm up to it (swapping over a GSL-SE suspension and everything too, brakes, etc..)

So I'm looking at buying a TurboII or another FC and doing the swap. Question I have is this: How much does a TurboII (and the other FC's) weigh? I'm pretty sure the FB's weigh in at around 2400 lbs or so and in my opinion look better (I hate the dodge daytona look that the FC's have, but I'm sure I'll get over it..) But anyhow, how much do they weigh?

i don't remember the exact numbers...but the 86-88 T2's were around 2750-2850, and the 89-91's were 3000 or a tad more

rip the A/C and all the emiisions **** outta them and you can drop them down to only a tad heavier than a 1st gen, gutted 1st gen that is, but thats gutting the 2nd gen too so i suppose it all depends on how far you want to go at making your car lighter doesn't it

Brochere from 1988 says 2850 for turbo II.

Less for NA and more for convertable

Beyond the Redline (great RX-7 source) claims 2845 for for 1987 and 88 models.

BTR claims 2845 for 89 also ( weird) and 3003 for 1990 and 1991.

I'd trust Mazda, right at 2850. If its not right, its real close.
