How Much does the storage bins, carpet and rear platic wieght?

I just got done stripping the rear interior of my car which inlcuded, spare tire, jack, carpet, sound deadening fabric, storage bin, and all the extra wiring that was left from the guy that sold me the car.....so basically everything behind the seat is metal, except for the tar sound deadening...anyone know how much I took off...

Now what can I take off the from of the car?

i just recently refurbished my interior and i would guess all the crap in the back weights less than 5 lb
if you havent already taek otu the passenger seat the inside peices of the doors taek the dashboard out if your really adventurous..if not the whoel thign at least the glove box/stereo/ac panels..all the center consoul stuff coem out easily..if you dont need to pen the back hatch taek out the bars that pop it up...taek the entire a/c unit out of the engine compartment..thats a big weight drop...

None of that stuff is very heavy by it's self save the sound deadner. Next time you have some time to kill, weigh your self holding each part at a time, subtract your weight, to get the part weight, then add all the part weights together.

Loose the PS, AC if you can take the Texas heat, and go to a single exhust if you havent already. The sunroof rails weigh about 40lbs, you could make some brackets to fix mount the roof.

Your one wiper conversion already shaved .25lbs

Took it all out and kept the sound deadener, covered the "humps" with self-molding carpet (you heat it up a bit) and it looks super awesome.

I took some of this stuff out of the rear and weighed it, since I am taking note of what I take out and how much it weighed.
Rear speakers, Tops, and sound deadner 5lbs
Rear carpet and plastic pieces 5lbs
Bins & Sound Padding w/ extra speakers 12lbs
Rear Sound Padding 6lbs

I still have to weigh the fiberglass part of the bins, and I have to weigh the other parts of the rear plastic.

Storage bins weigh that much? I'm thinking of making custom ones in place of what's there, probably out of aluminum and plastic. I want to mount my fire extinguisher and then have room for a bunch of CD's, tapes, and books (I own a business that works with those 3 extensively). That'll be pretty cool.

In the end though, do you really think that those 30-40 lbs will make any difference in the 1/4? Learn to launch and you'll save a lot more time.

The only 1/4 mile part of my local track that I care about is the front straight But I am taking all that crap out cuz. A)I need to take it out to have my roll bar welded in B)I want to make some of that stuff out of composite material to get some experience with composites.
