well, I'm frustrated with my 87 turbo II with JDM engine. It was running fine for months, but it ran into a problem. the engine starts, but after 3-5 seconds it will die. I will take it to a mechanic today. If the fixing cost is reasonable, i will consider to sell it.

THis is what i have in or for the car,
blitz blow off valve
Apexi N1 exhaust, downpipe,
momo corse bucket seat
Apexi turbo timer
FD rims

Goofy

AFM and/or vac leak would be my first guess.

Do you need to give it some gas to keep it idling or it still dies? If it still idles when you give it step on the gas, it may be the TPS.

if i lay my foot on the gas for a while, it wouldn't die, but eventually dies when i try to drive it. This problem didn't occur until after i installed the Blitz bov and drove for 30 minutes home in the freeway, then i decided to rev the engine to about 6000 rpm, and the engine shuts down. I checked the vacuum and other hoses, but seem not to be leaking.
